Our Journey

Most follow world headlines but few really actually do something to make a change. Many of us agree with what is wrong and what is right but willingly sit and watch from afar in disbelief. Crippled by feeling helpless. What can one person do to make a difference? What can I do? Where would I begin?

Somebody should do something about that." Then I realized I am somebody.” ― Lily Tomlin

On 2 March 2012, three rhino were poached at Kariega Game Reserve. Thandi, our only survivor. Themba, the young bull, survived for 24 days but finally lost his fight forlife on 25 March and #84, a young bull who died at the scene.

The reality of rhino poaching hit our door step like a 10 ton truck.

We had to do something.

Mid 2012 an email circulated about an initiative where anyone could willingly throw themselves out of a perfectly sound plane in order to raise funds to aid our Anti Poaching Units. Caught in the moment of "I am somebody" we signed up!
